DISKIN, Thomas Patrick. Beloved husband of the late Vera Diskin (nee Tornes). Devoted father of Diane (Ron) Schuster, Eileen (Rick) Schuster, Janet (Larry) Smith, Rita (Greg) Hoppins, Thomas (Karen) and John (Kathie) Diskin. Dear brother of the late Mary Grassy, John and Bill Diskin and Eileen Benson. Cherished grandfather of 16 and great-grandfather of 29. Passed away June 26, 2018. Age 96. Born in Norwood of Irish descent along with 4 siblings, Thomas was a WWII Marine in the 1st Division, and met his wife Vera(a student nurse)during a hospital outpatient visit shortly after the war. They married in 1950, and subsequently lived in Hyde Park and North College Hill. Tom was a finishing carpenter by trade, a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and devoted his entire life to the caring for his wife, children, and country. Visitation will take place at St. Margaret Mary Church 1830 W. Galbraith Rd., N.C.H., Monday July 2nd from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati. Condolences to hodappfuneralhome.com
