Thomas Benjamin Cole, 91, of Lebanon, died November 23, 2022, at Ohio Living at Mount Pleasant, after a brief illness.
Tim was born March 24, 1931, near Ashley, Ohio, to the late Walter "Cap" Cole and Genevieve Cole. After graduating from Ashley High School, where he played football, he enrolled in Toledo University prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force where he served in the Korean War in the medical Corps. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Tim enrolled in and graduated from Ohio State University. Tim worked in corrugated containers and was the owner of Modern Packaging Inc of Cincinnati. Tim also owned and operated multiple successful companies and ventures. He was a recognized leader in the local business community and received the key to the City of Franklin for his impact.
Tim was an outdoorsman and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his sons fishing on Lake Ogas and Little Doissier.
Tim is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Ann Cole of Lebanon, his sons, Thomas (Elana) Cole, Andrew (Kathleen) Cole, Benjamin (Melanie) Cole, Matthew (Nicola) Cole, his niece Cynthia Pappas, nephew Bill Cole, his grandchildren Jordan Cole, Austin Cole, Thomas Cole, Jane Cole, Andrew Cole, Benjamin Cole, Alexander Cole and Step Grandchildren Morgan McDonald, Matthew Gibson and Madison Gibson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Joe Cole and Nancy Barber.
Visitation will be held in the Chapel at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant, 225 Britton Ln., Monroe, OH 45050, on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 9 AM until time of Funeral Service at 10 AM. Burial will follow at 2 PM in Marlboro Cemetery, 5270 Horseshoe Rd., Delaware, OH 43015.
