Valerie Gray

Valerie Gray, age 86, a 50 year resident of Lake Pointe in Plymouth Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 while residing at her residence in Cincinnati, OH. Valerie was born on May 20, 1935 in Port Huron, Michigan, the daughter of Edward and Marcella Wells. She had been married to George Gray of Lawrenceville, Illinois for 62 years.


After retiring from American Community Insurance as a Computer Programmer, Valerie enjoyed spending time traveling with friends and family. She had a passion for singing as a young child and was blessed with a beautiful voice; music always was an integral part of her life. She was an active member of Westminster Church of Detroit and participated in the Chancel Choir.


Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers Robert Wells and Ronald Wells.


Survivors include her husband, George; children, Veronica Gray and Janene (Gray) Gaines, son-in-law Adrian Gaines; her grandson, Jacob Gaines and sisters-in-law Rose Wells and Martha Wells.


Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron, MI, and occur at a future date determined by the family.
