TANNER, Velma L. (nee Townsend) Beloved wife of 53 years to the late Ronald L. Tanner. Loving mother of Terri. L. (Matthew) Tomaszewski and mom of Ronda D. Tanner. Mamaw of Tiffany Carroll, Madison Tomaszewski, Tim Tanner and Jackie Tanner-Blair. Great grandmother of Mason Ward. Sister of Stella (Don) Hoog of Germantown, OH. Also survived by many special family and friends. Preceded in death by parents Leslie and Laura Townsend, sister Jessie Couch and brothers Clarence (Barb), Floyd, Henry and Walter Townsend. Velma retired after 33 years from GM Inland Division. She was a member of the Englewood Lodge Eastern Star and White Shrine. Passed away peacefully at her home July 1, 2015, at the age of 79. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Lakota Hills Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Lakota Hills Baptist Church Outreach, 6300 Tylersville Rd., West Chester, OH 45069.
