LAKES, Verna (nee Witzemann).  Beloved wife of the late Arthur Lakes Jr.  Dear mother of the late Timothy Jay Lakes and survived by Cindy McCray, Sandy (Robert) Schrenk, Sherrie, Mark (Judy), Randy, Brian (Susan) Lakes, Mark V. and Amy Jean. Loving grandmother of Joel (Angie), Tim (Melissa), Jeff (Jenna), Michael, Matt (Nicole), Sam, Ben (Marisa), John (Mindy), Matthew (Audrey), Jess and great-grandmother of Liam, Luke, Noah, Adalyn, Natalie, Madison, Luke, Ezra, Ainsley, Eleanor, Lydia, Evelyn, Allison, Evan, Logan, Avery and another one on the way.  Loving sister of Janet Roth and Fr. Gerry Witzemann.  Passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at age 94.  Visitation to be held at St. Clement Church, 4536 Vine St., St. Bernard, OH, on Friday January 27th from 10AM Until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Verna enjoyed fishing at their farm in Adams County, golfing with friends from Kentucky, gardening in her yard.  Member of the Milford Garden Club and St. Philomena Church in Clermont County. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with all her great grandchildren.
