Virgil Rice

RICE, Virgil Sr. Beloved husband of the late Cleda Shepherd Rice and Lillian Blanton Rice. Dear father of Shirley Ann (Bob) Baldrick, Mary Sue (David) Woodall, Carol (Bob) Mayes and the late Janet Rice and Virgil Rice, Jr. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a grandson, 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Virgil was a member of the Carthage Baptist Church. Passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at the age of 94. Visitation will be held at the Hodapp Funeral Home, 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Carthage Baptist Church, 1191 West Seymour Ave., Wednesday, June 19, 2018, at 11 a.m.
