Warren Harry Zeisler, OFM

Father Warren Zeisler, OFM, died at the age of 94 at Good Samaritan Hospital on Friday, May 4, 2018. The son of Lester and Gertrude (Hasslocher) Zeisler, Fr. Warren was born on January 25, 1924 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary and brother James, and his brother and sister-in-law, Edwin and Evelyn. He is survived by two nephews, Robert (Karen) and James (Debbie), a great niece and great nephews.
Father Warren's lengthy service in ministry included teaching at St. Francis Seminary for 11 years, teaching and acting as disciplinarian at Roger Bacon for 14 years, and serving as chaplain at the VA Center for 24 years. Fr. Warren retired from the VA Chaplaincy only to become chaplain for the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur for 18 years and served as guardian at Friarhurst for one year. He practiced an active retirement at St. John the Baptist Friary, Cincinnati, Ohio until he moved to Archbishop Leibold Home in 2017. The reception of Fr. Warren's body at St. Clement Church, 4536 Vine St., Cincinnati, Ohio, 45217 will be at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the friars' plot at St. Mary Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10.
