BEHRENS, William B., beloved father of Emily L. Behrens of Florida. Preceded in death by his mother Beatrice Behrens and his brother Robert Behrens. Bill was an English teacher and swim coach at St. Xavier High School. After leaving St. Xavier, he had a long and successful coaching career at swim clubs in Orlando, in Cocoa Beach, in Atlanta and as a volunteer assistant with Frank Busch at the University of Arizona. He also coached the Marlins swim team. He was inducted into the St. Xavier Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009, based on the part he played in laying the foundation for the hugely successful St. Xavier High swim program. Bill passed away on November 2, 2018 at the age of 80. Private funeral service at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to St. Xavier High School. Condolences at hodappfuneralhome.com
