William "Bill" H. Higgins

William Henry Higgins of Vevay, IN, passed away at the age of 77 on April 24, 2023. Bill was born on August 29, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bill served in the United States Army and was Crew Chief of a Huey Helicopter in Vietnam from 1963-1966. Bill was a union pipefitter for 37 years and was passionate about shooting sports, sports cars, and motorcycles.   

Bill is survived in death and will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Margaret Higgins of Vevay, IN; son Scott Higgins of Aurora, IN; daughters Angie Chase (Todd Chase) of Vevay, IN, Amy Hummel (Scott Hummel) of Aurora, IN, Sara Hoffman (Billy Hoffman) of Rising Sun, IN, and Catherine Higgins of Dillsboro, IN; stepsons Benjamin and Barry Waters of Cincinnati, OH; brothers Richard Higgins of Harrison, OH, and Joel Higgins of Whitewater Township, OH; grandchildren Josh Higgins, Seth Higgins, Cayli Gray, Coby Chase, Kyah Chase, Colt Hummel, Georgia Hummel, Emma Hoffman, Eli Hoffman, Ezra Hastings, Ayden Hastings, and Corey Hastings; and great-grandchildren Archie Gray and Nora Higgins. 

Services will begin Monday, May 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Gabriel Catholic Church, 58 West Sharon Road, Glendale, OH, 45246 with mass to follow. Memorials may be given in honor of Bill to the Wounded Warrior Project.
