William (Bill) Wagner, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 4, 2022, holding hands with his wife of 50 years Vivian Wagner and surrounded by loved ones and comforted by his deep faith in a loving God.
Bill grew up with five brothers and five sisters and was a graduate of Elder High School, representing the Panthers at state competitions for Cross Country and Track. His passion for running continued throughout his life, during which he ran uncountable races, 5Ks, and marathons. His passion spread to his children and grandchildren, many of whom ran for Roger Bacon High School and beyond.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian, and six children: Sarah Curtsinger (David) and their children Joseph, Claire, and Anna; Eric Wagner (Jennifer) and their daughter Mia; Rachel Wagner; Paul Wagner (Osmary) and their children Maria Jose and William; Laura Tinker (Brian) and their daughter Annabelle; and Nathan Wagner (Laura).
Beyond his immediate family, he was much loved by his wife’s eleven siblings, their spouses, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Vivian Catholic Church (7600 Winton Road; Cincinnati OH 45224) on Saturday, March 12 at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, please provide donations to the Children’s Tumor Foundation (www.ctf.org). Condolences at hodappfuneralhome.com
