William E. Wagner

December 12, 1926 — January 20, 2021

William E. Wagner died peacefully on January 20, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley, and is survived by his children Thomas Wagner (Kathy), William A. Wagner (Gay), Kim Collings and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Bill was born in Cincinnati on December 12, 1926, and after serving in the Navy in World War II, returned to spend the remainder of his life here.  He worked with his brother, George, in the family business Nessler and Wagner before working in development for Ohio Presbyterian Homes, and also served on the boards of First Northwest Savings and Loan, Arlington Memorial Gardens, and Ligonier Ministries.  He was active in the church and church ministries throughout his life, but Bill was best known as a man who wanted to know everyone, and always offered good conversation and encouragement to all he knew.  The family is holding a private service but welcome your participation online via livestream at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 30, at https://youtu.be/M-2YFsyn5rs.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Queen City Hospice, 4605 Duke Dr., Suite 220, Mason, OH 45040; Evangelical Community Church, 2192 Springdale Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231; or Ligonier Ministries, PO Box 863595, Orlando, FL 32886-3595.
