William “Ronnie” “The Duke” Earls, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, US Air Force veteran and Freemason, passed away on March 6th, 2024, at the age of 88. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ronnie is survived by his amazing wife Marilyn (Kaesheimer) Earls. After officially retiring at the age of 80, Ronnie spent his remaining years soaking up the sun in Jacksonville, Florida.Ronnie's legacy of love and care extends through his 11 children (Deanna, Rhonda, Becky, Mike, Nancy, Peggy, Karen, Danny, Sherri, Rebecca, Shawn), 23 grandchildren (Amy, Brandon, Carli, Jonathan, Jessica, Rachel, Christopher, Christina, Sandra, Jessica, Breanna, Brad, Mandy, Angela, Scottie, Kristen, Miranda, Merissa, Jason, Steven, Sydney, Bailey, Kylie) and 34 great-grandchildren. Ronnie was 1 of 5 children having 4 sisters (Jerene May, Barbara Nicely, Eileen Smith (Deceased), Jean Barrett (Deceased)). Ronnie was preceded in death by his late wife Dorthy Kay Wessler (whom he shared 50+ years together raising many wonderful children and grandchildren) as well as his mother Dona (Black) Earls and father Roy Earls.Ronnie's kindness, friendship, serenading and humor touched the lives of all that knew him. He will be deeply missed. Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Tuesday from 12:30PM until Funeral Service at 1:30PM. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral service at Oak Hill Cemetery.
