William G. Gertz

GERTZ, William G., loving son of the late Charles (former mayor of Reading) and Marie Gertz.  Dear brother of Melvin (Virginia) Gertz, Rita (the late Ron) Kirkwood, Robert (Andrea) Gertz, Anthony (Mary Jane) Gertz and the late Patricia (John) Cain, Thomas (Nancy) Gertz, Charles (Annetta) Gertz, Julie Gertz and Mary Moran. Uncle of Mary Lynn Eberl and also survived by many other nieces and nephews.  Bill was a life-long member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church, a proud graduate of Roger Bacon High School, an all-around good athlete, outstanding baseball player and played on several amateur teams.  Passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at the age of 91.  Visitation at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 330 W Vine St., Reading, OH 45215, Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.  Memorials may be sent to Sts. Peter and Paul Academy, 231 Clark St., Reading, OH 45215. Bill was a member of St. Pat's K of C #1747, Reading Republican Club and the Halker-Flege American Legion Post #69.
