Beloved husband of Ann Beer (nee Hummer). Loving father of Elizabeth M. Olson, William R. (Lori) Beer, Joseph L. (Mary) Beer, and Jeannette K. Beer. Dear grandfather of Christina (Jayson) Lindsay, Morgan (Taylor) Chance, Patrick Beer, Eryn Olson, Ryan Olson, Alisha Rakestraw, Devin Rakestraw, Justin Beer, Andrew Beer, Kathleen Beer, Nathan Beer, and Julia Beer. Cherished brother of Marjorie (the late Walter) Davidson, Mary Kay (Jim) Wiegand, Robert (Sue) Beer, Michael Beer, and the late James Beer. Son of the late Robert and Marguerite Beer. Passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021, at age 81. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044, from 11am until 12 noon. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at St. Maximilian Kolbe, 5720 Hamilton Mason Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45011, at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Bill’s memory be directed to the Beer Family Scholarship at the University of Dayton, 300 College Park, Dayton, OH 45469-7051, or to give online, go to udayton.edu/advancement/give, follow the prompts and type in "Beer Family Scholarship."
