William J. Sams

SAMS, William J. Beloved husband of Yvonne L. Sams (nee Castor) for 63 years. Dear father of Darrell (Karen) Sams, Lisa (David) Wong and David (Donna) Sams. Grandfather of Sara, Danielle, Kelly, Christopher, Adam, Justin and Elizabeth. Also survived by 14 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Betty Messer. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1951 to 1954. He retired from P&G in 1987 after 32 years of employment, was a member of St. Bernard High School Hall of Fame, on the Board of Education Hall of Fame of St. Bernard High School and a member of Masonic Norwood-Winton-Carthage Lodge #0576 F&AM and Scottish Rite. Passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017, at the age of 86. Family will receive friends at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill, Thursday, August 31, from 1 p.m. until Masonic and Scottish Rite service at 3 p.m. followed immediately by funeral service.
