William Peter Strunk

STRUNK, William Peter Born February 18, 1926, died December 12, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Marianna Strunk (nee Jackson). Loving father of Melinda (Dan) Mink, Kathleen (Richard) Eigelbach, Margaret (John) Menkedick and the late Peter Strunk. Father-in-law of Kathe Strunk. Dear grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 5. Brother of Paula Schwartz, Peter Strunk and the late Bette Adams. Son of the late Peter A. Strunk and Elizabeth Bastings Strunk. William served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1944 to 1945. He was an English teacher and administrator in the Cincinnati Public Schools and also served as principal of Ross High School from 1971 until his retirement in 1985. William also volunteered at Hopewell Elementary School for 13 years as a reading and writing tutor. Visitation to be held at the Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42), West Chester, Thursday, Dec. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Good Shepherd Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd., Symmes Twp., Friday, 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 1125 Bank St., Cinti, OH 45214.
