Mathews, William S. Beloved husband of Patricia C. Mathews (nee Crawford) Dear father of W. Stewart (Joanie) Mathews, Patti Mathews of Englewood, FL, and the late James C. Mathews. Loving grandfather of James S., Steven M. (Stefanie), Thomas P. (Melissa), Lindsay E. Mathews and two great grandchildren Mackenzie and Ava Mathews. Brother of Dr. James Mathews of Evansville, IN, Ruth (Bootsie) Churchill of Kansas City, MO, Mary Carol of Buzzard’s Bay, MA, Virginia Fleischman of Kents Store, VA, and the late Catherine (Kitsy) Mathews of Kansas City, MO. Preceded in death by his parents Dr. J. Stewart and Viola Mathews. Also survived by his beloved Beagle, Mr. Rocky. Passed away May 13, 2009 in Port Charlotte, FL. Friends may call at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill, (one block south of North Bend Rd.) on Tuesday May 19 from 4- 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at St. James of the Valley, 411 Springfield Pike, Wyoming at 10 am. Bill was a retired Judge of Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association and/or the Cincinnati Association for the Blind.
