WEBER, William “Bill”, loving husband of Mary Anne (nee Horst) for 59 years, devoted and dear father of Marilyn (George) Stegeman, Deborah (Jerry) Reinstatler and Allison (Richard) Erickson. Adored grandfather of Karen Stegeman, John (Kelli Riehle) Stegeman, Rachel (Matt) Vultaggio, Mary Stegeman, Billy (Sara Henretty) Reinstatler, Jimmy, Joey and Katie Reinstatler, Adam, Ryan and Anna Erickson. Cherished brother of Betty (Wendell) Nash, Roslyn (James) Pavone and Janet (Gary) Smith. Beloved brother-in-law of William Horst, Judy Horst, Carl and Marien Horst and the late Patricia Horst and Michael Horst. Numerous nieces and nephews as well great-nieces and great-nephews. Sunday, October 24, 2010, age 81 years. Bill was born June 8, 1929 in Cincinnati, son of the late William Adam and Rachel Aileen (nee Bishop) Weber. Bill joined the Navy at 17 and proudly served in the Korean War aboard the USS Gurke, DD-783. After 10 years of naval service, Bill re-joined civilian life and eventually, the workforce at Procter & Gamble Ivorydale for 35 years. Active volunteer and member of St Ann Church in Groesbeck with the Holy Name Society, Turkey Shoot, Festival and as CYO football coach. Graduate of Xavier University. Member of the American Legion (Delaware, OH post) and the Tin Can Sailors. Despite a great German surname, Bill honored his Irish heritage by supporting the local Irish dance community and by being a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Bill served the AOH as a Division and County Board President. Lifetime membership was conferred by the AOH National Board and Bill was the most recent recipient of the Kevin Barry award, the highest mark of distinction, respect and regard the AOH can bestow upon a member. This award announced to all what his family has always known: Bill was one of the good ones, a loyal and loving family man with a good humor and smile that could charm anyone. He will be missed.
